Dr. Yoav Kaddar to Keynote

We are honored to feature Dr. Yoav Kaddar from West Virginia University as a keynote speaker for the 95th annual WVAHPERD convention at Glade Springs Resort.  His expertise in this unique area of our organization promises to be a highlight event.

Dr. Kaddar has performed nationally and internationally as guest artist and has been a member of such modern dance companies as the Jose Limon Dance Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Pilobolus Dance Theatre, Peter Pucci Plus Dancers and Jacob’s Pillow’s Men Dancers. He has also danced with numerous independent NYC choreographers and has choreographs for dance and theater.

Dr. Kaddar is the recipient of the Martha Hill Award for Outstanding Achievement and Leadership in Dance from the Juilliard School, is a recent Fulbright Scholar, and a recipient of the Fellowship/ Scholar Award from ATME and the SOFA Award from the National Association of College and University Residence Halls. He has been invited to serve on the New York Foundation of the Arts Choreography Panel, the National Society of Arts and Letters dance competition and the Pennsylvania Dance Masters scholarship auditions. He has been nominated for the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Service and is a member of NDEO and serves on the board of directors of ACDA. Dr. Kaddar serves on the WVU Rhodes Scholar Selection Committee and was recently appointed as a member to the US Student Fulbright National Screening Committee.
